Support for Teens (13-18 yrs)
“As if being a teen isn’t
hard enough ….”
|

|
Someone you love has died and the world, as you know it,
has changed forever. You may feel isolated, alone, and misunderstood.
The person who died may not be a family member, but the
way in which they died may have had such an impact on you that you are having
trouble thinking about it and dealing with it.

Hospice can help.
Teen Counseling
Groups aren’t for everyone. If you would rather talk to someone
individually, make an appointment to meet with the Hospice Teen Counselor.
Library Resources
Hospice has a variety of books specifically designed to support teens. These
books are available for lending from our Hospice Library located at Hospice
House.
Education in the Classroom
The Coordinator/Counselor, Teen Programs, is available to provide education
on loss, grief, and suicide. This education is available to students in the
classroom, and anyone working with teens. Workshops can be customized to meet
organizational needs.
Teens Helping Teens Get Through Loss
This group is presently on hold as we re-design our programs and services to
teens. If you are interested in attending a group program please contact
Hospice at 758-8857.
