Volunteer Support

Volunteer Circle of Sharing
Volunteers can attend a monthly meeting that consists of an educational component and a discussion period.

Peer Mentoring & Support Group

New volunteers attend this group for three months following training to ensure that they receive adequate support in their new role.

Volunteer Continuing Education

Volunteers are encouraged to attend as many Hospice/Palliative Care education events as possible. Where the budget allows, volunteers have access to a fund set up to subsidize volunteer education. Hospice-sponsored workshops often provide excellent opportunities for networking with volunteers from other hospice organizations.

Volunteer Membership in Hospice

All volunteers are required to hold membership in Hospice (volunteer rate of $5 per year).

Monthly Volunteer Newsletter

This newsletter
keeps volunteers up to date on upcoming events and what is happening with other volunteers, the Board, and the community at large.
