NEXT SESSION – FALL 2008 (Daytime Sessions)

	First Session:	Monday Sept 15, 2008 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
	Weekly Sessions:	Mon and Wed, Sept 17 – Oct 8, 1:30-4:30 pm No class on Oct 13 - Thanksgiving
	Final Session:	Wednesday, Oct 15, 2008 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
	PCU Orientation:	Minimum of 4 hours orientation on the Palliative Care Unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital

	Training Fee: $125 ($75 is refundable after completion of 100 hours of volunteer service)
	Hospice training is based on an adult learning model and is experiential in nature. Trainees are given a manual and are expected to read the material prior to each training session and come prepared to participate in small and large group discussion.
	This course is not recommended for individuals who have recently (within the last 12 months) experienced the loss of a loved one. Certain exceptions apply.
