SPIN-A-THON IS BACK!
Join the Nanaimo Bar Team for a fun and spin-tastic afternoon at our June Spin-a-Thon Fundraiser on June 27th at Country Grocer Chase River location! We will be there from 11am to 3pm.
Come enjoy Hotdog sale, Spin-the-wheel prizes, and Community fun and connection!
Every spin, donation, and hotdog purchase helps support compassionate hospice care in our community.
We hope to see you there and appreciate your continued support of Nanaimo Community Hospice Society and the Nanaimo Bar Team.
NCHS Update: Join us for Companions Through Anticipatory Grief
Companions Through Anticipatory Grief offers a compassionate space for adults who are supporting or preparing for the approaching loss of someone they love.
Anticipatory grief is a natural response when a loved one’s death is expected.
Many people experience a wide range of emotions while navigating uncertainty, caregiving, and change, and connecting with others who understand can help ease feelings of isolation.
This weekly in-person peer support group provides a space to pause, reflect, and be in the company of others walking a similar path.

Join us for our Hike for Hospice 2026 on September 12th at Westwood Lake!
This special community event brings people together to walk in support of compassionate hospice care, grief support, and programs for children, youth, adults, and families in our community.
Whether you walk in memory of a loved one, to support hospice care, or simply to enjoy a meaningful day together, we would love to have you join us.

Burger & Beer Fundraiser 2026 at The Wellington Pub
We’re excited to share our upcoming community fundraiser in partnership with COLT – The Cycle of Life Tour. Join us on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 PM at The Wellington Pub for an evening of burgers and drinks, live music, and a silent auction — all in support of a meaningful cause.
Tickets are $35, and we’re pleased to welcome special guest Josh Carter for the evening.
All proceeds directly support compassionate hospice care and grief support programs provided at no cost to individuals and families in our community through Nanaimo Community Hospice Society.
