Heather Fisk, MA, Counselling Psychology
Heather Fisk was born and raised in Nanaimo and feels a deep connection to the community and its people.
Her professional path has been shaped by a strong commitment to supporting others in meaningful, person-centred ways. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and spent several years working across a range of industries, including healthcare and personal wellness, before transitioning into counselling.
Before completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Heather worked as a certified life coach for five years, supporting individuals through growth, change, and life transitions. During her graduate training, she developed a focus on grief, loss, and trauma-informed approaches.
Heather has additional training in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and practices from an integrative, humanistic perspective. She believes each person is the expert in their own experience and strives to create a safe, compassionate space for healing.
Her passion for bereavement counselling is both professional and personal. Having witnessed firsthand the impact of Hospice care in the community, she considers it a true honour to be part of this work. Heather feels deeply grateful to walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate grief, offering care grounded in compassion, respect, and understanding.
