100% of our proceeds support Nanaimo Community Hospice, helping us continue to provide free grief, palliative, and wellness support programs, education, and resources for children, youth, adults, and families navigating grief, death, and end-of-life.
We have 55 volunteers who contribute over 1,500 hours every month. They greet you with a smile, help you find what you need, sort and price items to give you the best deals, and handle all the heavy lifting. When you buy something special, they are the ones who thank you warmly for your support.

For many years, Celebrate a Life has given our community a special way to remember and honour loved ones during the holiday season.
Our traditional Memory Trees are returning to Nanaimo Hospice House and the Hospice Thrift Shoppe, and this year, we’re excited to offer a new online way to participate!

Make a donation through our Celebrate a Life campaign, enter the name of the person you are remembering, and you’ll receive a personalized digital ornament featuring their name.
Your ornament can be saved as a special keepsake or shared with family and friends, allowing you to celebrate the life and memory of someone special togetherwherever you may be. 💙

Our Shoppe is a busy, friendly place where every day is a little different. You’ll meet some wonderful people, work alongside a great group of volunteers and know that the time you give is helping our community.
Whether you enjoy chatting with customers, sorting and organizing, cashiering or simply being part of a great team, there’s a place for you.
And the best part? Your time helps raise funds for free programs and services through Nanaimo Community Hospice for children, youth, adults and families in our community.
You don’t need experience — just a little time and a willingness to have some fun!

Our new location has been a hit, with a spacious, bright shopping experience and a selection of unique treasures.
With donations arriving daily and fresh finds added every week, there's always something new to discover. From clothing, books, and furniture to kitchenware, home décor, and so much more, you're sure to find something you'll love while supporting a great cause.
