Intake Coordinator
Shannon Farahbakhsh
Since joining NCHS in 2006, I’ve had the privilege of working in several roles, each deepening my understanding and commitment to hospice and palliative care. Previously, I supported family caregivers through group and one-to-one support with the Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society, and volunteered directly with clients at Cowichan Valley Hospice. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on the needs of individuals and families navigating end-of-life journeys. The heart of this work is the people—clients, staff, and volunteers—whose resilience, compassion, and dedication continue to inspire and ground me. I remain grateful to be part of a team that leads with empathy and strives to make a meaningful difference every day.
